Problems with GhostCam & Eggonicer | |

I'm trying to do some test runs for the coming wolfing run to make sure everything is working, but I'm having some difficulties.
The most egregious is with GhostCam, which... just doesn't seem to be functioning in any fashion whatsoever. I have injected it, but ctrl+g (and I even tried ctrl+shift+g just in case) does absolutely nothing, and bodies are not disappearing until I return and view them. This is, obviously, a really big problem.
Secondly is the Eggonicer, which is more a series of smaller problems, not insurmountable, but certainly making things more difficult. For one thing, the egg count seems to very easily end up out, though I doubt there's a fix for that. Fortunately, it's usually on the high side, but when it undercounts the eggs in storage, it won't vend the remaining ones once it decides it is empty.
More difficult to deal with, is that it seems to do weird things around vending eggs, especially those of grendels. The first time this happened, I thought it was because I had attempted to get two vend spots for grendel eggs which, fair enough, it was an experiment in the first place and I figured it'd probably pitch a fit over that. However, I deleted the world in question, and the agent, and reinstalled it fresh in a new world... several, actually, by this point... and I'm still having issues.
Specifically, it vends perfectly well right up to the minimum population of grendels... and then it tends to go nuts, vending several eggs in a row that hatch instantly, and vending them into the warp and comms rooms instead of at the vend point. I've seen it do this a number of times now, making the grendel population... pretty well impossible to control.
It also seems to have over-vended a bit in this latest wolfing test run, though in fairness the screen does say 'minimum population'. However, if that's the issue in that case, it would be *really* nice to know how, exactly, the Eggonicer determines how many eggs to vend above and beyond the minimum population. At the very least, by the lack of corpses in the comms room, it appears that the norn eggs in question were at least vending to the correct locations.

Have you tried the Peaceful Death Script?

I use the peaceful death script - AFAIK that just makes dead bodies invisible to creatures, to spare indignity. Certainly the bodies don't disappear on their own.
Pilla, I run the GOG versions of the game. Currently using undocked, but both have had the same issues in docked worlds too.

Okay, I just saw what's going on with the Eggonicer, though I'm not sure why it happened/how to prevent it.
The norn eggs currently in storage suddenly started growing/hatching again, and the Eggonicer started cycling them out and in to freeze them once more. In some cases, when the egg was too close to hatching, that meant babies got vended out either in the comms room, or the warp room.

Sorry, I was getting confused. Have you ever tried the Corpse-Cleaner cos file?

I haven't - and that page is a little unclear, since it doesn't mention said file at all - but I did manage to get some caos code from someone that did the trick I just have it saved as a regular command for DevThing to run. I also ended up getting Jagent and editing Eggonicer to fix the updating issue and do away with a couple other things that were being more hinderance than help. It still does the weird thing with the eggs from time to time, but now I can just manually set the population limits to make sure any extras won't get out of hand before the rest can be frozen again.

In the download file, there is a folder called "opensource_for_advanced_users" - this contains a file named "corpsecleaner.cos". This cos file can go in the DS bootstrap and will create an invisible checker that will go through and dispose of the bodies cleanly every five minutes or so.
