When I used to play Creatures 3 on Windows XP, I could export a norn, go to the program files for the game, make a copy of the norn, and then import one of them back into the game (and save the other for later). I'm currently playing Creatures Exodus on Vista and when I go to the program files for either Creatures 3 or DS, the Creatures folders are empty. I can still export and import norns okay, just not make copies. Where are the files, and why are they not showing up where they used to? |

This is a known issue with Vista, and happens to me too (with a lot of programs, not just Creatures games). Vista is a bit "overprotective" of itself and as a (generally unnecessary) security measure, it automatically hides files it sees as "suspicious". Meaning, any files that are saved in the Program Files folder.
In order to find those files, first make sure you have "view hidden files/folders" option enabled.
Then go to 'C: \Users\<your_account>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program
Files\Creatures 3'.
That's where your hidden files are actually being kept.

Wow, my hatred for Vista is beginning to reach all new heights. Thanks for the speedy reply. |

Cloning them with the Mini-Copier is much quicker.
