is it possible to have normal norns adapt to being underwater because i had 2 norms a male and a female underwater for 1 second and they didn't die and then i bred them and their baby lasted 10 seconds without dieing and she is still alive. |

Norns in general take a good bit longer than just ten seconds before they begin to feel the effects of being underwater. That's perfectly normal. If they'd been underwater for, say, ten minutes with no ill effects, then that would mean there was already something in their genome that prevented them from drowning. But Norns can't adapt to live underwater; either their genome must specifically allow them to, or you'd have to have an agent installed that allows Norns to breathe underwater.

Does your definition of 'their genome must specifically allow them to' not include natural evolution? I'd say that counts as adaptation, phrase is confusing. |

I wasn't referring to the genome at large. If a Norn's genome doesn't already have any features that negate drowning, that individual Norn will not be a water-breather. It's possible that its offspring may be born with a mutation that negates drowning, but it won't just pop up out of nowhere later on.
