Okay. I'm in a real pinch! My norns in DS are laying eggs like crazy, but none are hatching normally. Here's the dealio: they grow to thier final stage. Even the embryo starts wiggling around trying to get out, and there's that familiar crunching sound that tells ou it's hatching.....but.....they never do. None of my eggs have ever made it past the 2nd generation, or past the third clutch of my first generation. Is the game trying to control the population? To help you understand the magnitude, I have been sitting here watching five or six full-size egg on the incuplate. For two hours. And counting. It’s a population cap set by CL so that user worlds don’t become over populated. Check the options panel. For quick reference, the defaults are 6 and 16. You can change these settings to allow for more Norns and births but be aware that the Norn brain and its decisions are complicated to calculate and could slow down your world considerably if your population limit is set too high. |
