 I hope all of you had a wonderful CCSF this year! There have been a few interesting contributions this year, so if you haven't already, make sure to visit the 2017 website here. Many thanks to Doringo for organizing the 2017 CCSF! Since there's a lot of activity around this period, I figured it would be a good idea to start up the surveys for the fifteenth CCSF which will be held in 2018. I reached out to Ylukyun to create a survey and he created one which can be viewed below. You can find the survey here Make sure to fill it in! The future of the Creatures Community Spirit Festival depends on all of you. The survey will end at Sunday Januari 28th, so make sure you send in all replies before that date. Would you all be interested in seeing some of the results already? If yes I might make some Excel sheets and combine some of the answers into pretty tables and stuff and post some of the results here. ....Okay I admit I already secretly made some thingers. Have fun with the first results.  At the end of the poll the official results will also be posted here. Do not kill me if I'm one or two values off, I'm just human and had to manually type everything in the table. Errors are possible. This is just to have a general idea of the votes up to now.  Also, just a reminder: the results of the survey are just suggestions, showing the general opinion of the community. Whoever gets chosen to be the coordinator of the festival will be able to pick whatever works for them. Start of the CCSF:  Length of the CCSF:  I will post more results if people express interest. To add to that, I thought this response was interesting: Survey respondent wrote: I like the idea of having an extended CCSF, with people continuing to submit stuff throughout the festival, although I wonder if only having updates on weekends might cause it to lose momentum. |

I ended up putting that vote in the 'one month' category. I like that response! I gotta admit though... that was my response. It'd be interesting if a few people who are decided enough to prepare a blog-week would volunteer. Then they could blog a midweek (4 to 5 days) about certain subjects, like... a wolfling run, a metaroom review run, an agent run, maybe tutorial weeks (art tutorials, caos tutorials), a Creatures story/comic, ... Dunno. Maybe those people could be given specific releases in this 'test-week' so if they want to they could include the releases in the blog somehow to make people interested in the weekend releases. It would be nice if a 'tutorial week' would be followed by a 'release' week, then bloggers could make a tutorial blog about a certain subject, which also happens to be some kind of a 'make this' contest during the CCSF. Then the things people would make/send in could be featured during the weekend. Maybe there could be 'prizes' for the bloggers. It all really depends on how many people actively participate though. If not enough content, we could still do this kind of release schedule thing, but only lasting 2 or 3 weeks. I like that idea too. Highlighting things like jagent and github a month or 2 before the CCSF starts would probably be great. And highlighting the existing tutorials on agent making etc. Even beyond the CCSF, it might be helpful in general to make a collection of tools and tutorials for beginners. A new wiki page maybe. |
