Hi everyone,
Mea and I have decided to launch a new project. We will be creating a Garden Box patch decoration with unique designs from the community. Like the Eggstravaganza patch plant, there are a selection of bases to choose from. You can also create your own decorations from scratch, but please make sure the image is no bigger than 50 x 50 pixels.
Bases:
Free image hosts:
TinyPic
imgur
Photobucket
Free image editing programs:
Paint.NET
Autodesk Pixlr
GIMP
BeFunky
Other resources:
Browse DeviantArt Textures
PM your submissions to ylukyun. The deadline is December 20th however late submissions will be accepted.

*shuffles awkwardly* I want to make many, many, many baubles but I've given myself too much to do already! XD
Expect a handful in your inbox soon, though.

Me three! I'm so pleased to see another event like the Eggstravaganza start up again. You guys are awesome! It will also make a nice change being on the side of surprise this time around. |

Uh oh.... UH OH! I can see myself producing a flood of these ornaments like I did with the eggs.
From the depths of Deep Lurkspace I emerge... And suddenly can't remember what it is I came up for. |

Does anyone have any graphics tips for how you decorate these to actually look like a decoration? I can handle the transparencies to make it look like the shading is still there, but how do you make a design look like it's on something curved? (Or do I just need to accept I don't have leet graphics madskillz and just do something that looks flat?) |

Copy an actual round object, use a morph tool, or make a larger design and find some kind of "sphere" filter. Both Gimp and Photoshop should have something of the kind. |

Instead of straight lines, use curved lines when appropriate. Try to have the curved lines follow or almost follow the curve of the edge. |

Aww. I haven't had time to finish mine yet. If I finished them Sunday, would they still make it?

Yeah, I haven't actually started the code yet so I'm pretty sure you'll be done before I finish it |

Gosh darnit, I completely forgot about my entries! I've been too wrapped up in my own projects and having my boyfriend being over to stay. I can't wait to see everyone else's ornaments though! Should be good. |

Okay, I've got mine finished. I don't really fancy uploading each individual sprite to tinypic though... Is there an email I could send them to?

Some of mine are pretty similar, I won't take it amiss if you only pick a few. |
