Notice: Beware of PMs from Strangers We have had some trouble of late where undesirable users have signed up and sent unsolicited private messages to members here along the lines of "Hi, I saw your profile and wanted to chat." These strangers can often be looking to get in contact with young people on all sorts of social websites for very disturbing reasons. If you receive a message like this from someone you don't know then do report it to the staff immediately, and do not reply to the sender or provide the person with your email address or any details about you. So please keep safe and, if in doubt if a message might be dodgy, you can always ask one of us. Don AmberCreatures  |

To reinforce what Don has said: It is strongly advised that you avoid sharing any personal information about yourself; such as your full name, age, home address, phone number, the name of your school, etc. while you enjoy the CC - particularly if you're underage. Not that any trusted member of the community would do anything, but the internet in general is not the safest place to discuss these things. |

I've also been getting many messages from people claiming to want to get in contact because they are "interested". Many of them use a line similar to "Love can stretch across race, color, class" or something else really cheesy. Don't fall for it. It usually leads to a "help me escape from such and such country and I'll split one million with you" scam. with a taste of your lips  i'm on a ride |

This is actualyy happening on here? I propose an IP ban for anyone who sends messages like this. But just to be sure, we can't ask age? I understand that it's generally bad if creepy stalker dudes ask about you, but I think we should be able to ask about age, not in PMs though. I dont plan on it, but just because someone is curious as opposed to stalker, then i say it should be allowwed. But asking for anything else is generally bad in my book. And can we ask about what country they live in? (nvm, noticed flags  )in the spring you gotta let the flowers fully blossom |

Don't worry, the member who was responsible for sending these PMs has already been permanently banned; from logging in and from creating other accounts. With regards to your question about age Gumbo, I guess I was just trying to emphasise that it's good to be careful about what personal information you give to strangers online (particularly if you're underage). As for the nationality flags in our profiles, that's different compared to revealing your actual home address (i.e. your town, house number or street name) to someone that you don't know. |

I got something similar few months ago, it was actually spam bot... I didn't think twice and sent e-mail but on turn I didn't open automatic e-mail coming from bot... I'm a hardcore christian first, and a creature breeder second. |

Unfortunately, another incident like this cropped up again today, with the account Aysh24 sending unsolicited PMs to other users. The account has now been permanently banned for everyone's safety. If you have received a message today along the lines of this, please ignore it and delete it: hello dear, my name is miss Aysha, I am, very happy to contact you, to day and i wish to be in good relationship with you, and i will be very happy if you can reply me through my private Email: aysha_youne@yahoo.com, i have something very important to tell you about me. Thanks Me Aysha If you ever receive a message like this from someone you do not know, then do report it to a member of the moderation team immediately. Please do not respond to these messages with any personal information, or contact details, that you wouldn't share with a stranger. You can always ask one of the team if you're unsure! |
