There's already a lot of Facebook groups for Creatures, I'm afraid. Facebook is a great way to connect (if done responsibly) but I don't think we should spread the community too thinly.
Here's a few groups that have already been made by CC members:
This one
And this one
Also this one
This one too
This one also fits the bill

That's true about Creatures Community groups being thick on the ground... If you want to spread more community news and discussions on Facebook, you could always add some to the already existing pages. I'm sure they'd appreciate being kept up-to-date with the latest goings on. |

I think the idea of one consolidated group on facebook is a good one. As AS and Laura said, the CC is spread pretty thin there. However I think a better way to go about this would be contacting the group leaders and see how they'd feel about merging, or at least making their members aware of the other existing groups and promoting each other.

Well, if you're about to create a new group about something, you can always check if such a group already exist. Typing 'creatures' in the searchbar on Facebook gave me all the currently existing Creatures-related groups.
Not sure if a link on the frontpage would be a good idea, though that's probably because I don't really like the idea of the younger people on Facebook connecting with anyone but their own relatives and real-world friends. Social network sites are for grown-ups in my opinion.
