I think your art is great!
I don't remember anyone ever drawing the lone shee so maybe your the first?
You should put it on the wiki as
"an interpretation of the lone shee"
now that would be cool!

Might just be too 'uncanon'... most encyclopedias don't really like it when people try to add speculation.

FrankyFox, did you ask the person involved politely why they felt it was inappropriate? :/
I've put fanart up on the wiki on the Banshee page (although this may be different, as it's the only fanart existing of the Banshee, and it's right down the bottom of the page).
The worst thing anyone can say is 'it's not appropriate, such-and-such an image is better because it shows the Lone Shee like such-and-such', right? And that's not so bad, if you think about it. The Lone Shee article could probably use a picture that isn't an ad, anyway.

I'm not certain of what the rules are regarding fan works and the wiki, either. :/ I remember GreenReaper asking me if he could post my Cookie Ettin story and part of one of my pics on the relevant article, but my guess is that he did that because there's not that much out there on Cookie Ettins to begin with. Same with the Banshee.
I know there are several different interpretations of the Lone Shee floating around on deviantART alone, but I'm not sure if that would be enough to warrant the denial you got, Francky.
ETA: ...It's been brought to my attention that I was actually the mod who removed the picture. >_> Apologies for not remembering sooner.
Looking back at the history, I think my main issue was that the picture was thrown into the middle of the article without any context. That, and as I said above, there are multiple interpretations of the Lone Shee floating around and it seemed exclusive for just one to be featured.
In light of the other fanworks on the Wiki that I'm [now] aware of, I'm going to try to come up with a solution that'll allow different interpretations of the LS to be featured without having them overwhelm the article.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

Overwhelm? What is this overwhelm you speak of? (ads)
When text is written on, or images uploaded on the Creatures Wiki, it becomes licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, unless it's explicitly being used for fair use/fair dealing. (for text, you need to publish it somewhere else before, I believe?) - 'I'm quoting this or showing this art because nothing else could explain it this good, but I'm only using a little so that the original owner's rights are protected'.

I actually have noscript and an ad-blocker running on my browser, so I don't think I've ever seen the ads on the wiki. >_>
I just added a section to the article for people to upload links of their Lone She art if they so desire, with some examples that I'm already aware of. I'm definitely open to other suggestions, though.
And I'm sorry for my initial response, Francky. I should have double-checked the Wiki to confirm the fanart policy beforehand.
