Development Forum Specfic creature diet (canivore+slaps)    Mandymom   9/1/2017 I wish to create a creature that can only get nutrition from critters, bugs and slapping other creatures. They will also have a ton of slap resilience meaning that they won't take much damage from being slapped (they'll def get slap happy) How do I do that with a gene editor? You'll also want to edit the instincts to tell them to only eat critters and bugs and slap other creatures when hungry. Otherwise your stimulus edits won't do much. And once you're done with your creature, please upload it somewhere! Carnivorous creatures are my favorite. (I clicked creature stimulus, but can't find I have hit for the life of me (nvm, i found it, I'll have to figure out the instincts as well) Grendels aren't so bad, but I love Ettins! There's probably an alternate one we can give you.   Mandymom   9/2/2017 Well the one on the wiki isn't working, it just takes me to a blog, I also can't find the download for the CFE creatures (so I can replace the standard genomes, and also make a CFE version of my Vampires) The full release should be done by Halloween, with new sprites based off those little cartoonish bat decorations you see around that time, but also a bruin version that just has the modified genome, which will be released when I get all the kinks worked out. The breed uses smell 19 to find critters, so they will be incompatible with new toy smell as they will get confused by it. The instincts are a little tricky, I can't figure out how to tell them that slapping=food, and critters=food, and to have them seek out those things accordingly. They cannot digest starch, the gene has been silenced (an attempt to have compatibly with regular breeds, though it may not work 100%) instead they get their glucose from digesting protein (they can technically digest fruit's protein but their hunger won't be lowered from it due to being carnivorous and all) Grendels aren't so bad, but I love Ettins! Gameware moved sites a few years back and that blog took over the old url. Anyway, here's a download link for the genetics kit. You'll need the username/license from this page to make the genetics kit work. And here's a link to an archive of the CFE creatures.
