once there was something called telepatiks agent that allowed some breeds to use telepatiks (aka interacting with stuff too far away for normal norns to reach). it had something to do with making the Norn think the object was near enough. Also Gaia is said to have this ability, but I wasn't able to figure out how it works exactly. Can you please help me understand how it works (and how I can create a telepatik breed). |

You mean, the fabled Witch gene? I thought that was fixed in C2?

I have seen an agent and a breed somewhere in a list of breeds and agents (for C3) stating that this certain agent would make that certain breed captable of telepatiks, but the page where it was downloadable doesn't exist anymore.
Also Gaia is captable of telepatiks but I do not understand how. And I want to understand how it works to make a telepatic breed. |

I don't understand how Gaia does it either. O_O But Gaia is highly modified and does come with custom scripting--for instance, to allow her to monitor the terrariums--so I believe it isn't all genetic for her either.
What you stated above is about as much as I know too--somehow they modify the check that a Norn uses to determine how "near" an object needs to be to count as "within reach". I remember hearing about the Telepatiks a while ago, but I never downloaded them and don't know if they're still available anywhere.

Perhaps we could pick a group of excellent coders who get a decompiled copy (or decompile it themselves) of the GAIA source code. Then they could look in it and find out together how it works.
With the collected knowledge we could create an army of invincible telepathic superwarriors, first take over the arc, then the closest planet and that do we use as headquarter to take over the whole galaxy! BWAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAAA!!!
...okay, that was crazy, I know. For the first part I have been serious. When one coder fails, maybe multiple can work it out. They could make up a Live Session via CC IRC on the Creatures Development Channel and help each other to get a better overview. Perhaps the code could be divided and everyone only examines a piece of it. If I wasn't so incredibly lazy, I would organize and/or join that.

Are you referring to the Telekinesis agent?
I downloaded it years ago & I still have it. Here's what the read-me says -
Telekinesis BETA
This agent allows Dragon norns to use telekinesis.
To make a norn with telekinetical powers you need maximum amount of chem 211(Brain chem 14).
To install, copy Telekinesis.agent to My Agents folder and inject it.

How the agent itself works I don't know, but I hope this helps some. |
