Finally! I've got an idea that I can actually carry through with, a nano norn room. It will not be able to hold normal norns, have it's own plants, and will be composed entirely of pixel art. I'm working on the background and will post pictures when it's polished. I'm also making several simple plant and bird sprites, and will post those as well. suggestions/ ideas?

What a cool idea, Gumbo! Given how tiny the Nano Norns are, even an 800x600 room would end up being enormous by their standards. I'd probably download the Nano breeds just for the sake of being able to use them in such a metaroom...

One idea I'd really like to see implemented is growing, reproducing trees. It isn't very feasible for trees that match the scale of normal Norns because they end up being so big (Norngirl's trees being a good example--making them work properly within the oddly-shaped confines of a terrarium was an interesting challenge). But if everything is tiny, a comparatively giant tree ends up being about the size of a regular-sized plant. I really think it would be awesome to have a metaroom with dynamic, changing forests.

Why not allow regular norns in parts of the metaroom, with small tunnels for the nano breeds? Your Norns would feel huge, stomping through the forest as if they were Nornzilla.

Also, huge trees that grow realistically? This sounds like a challenge! The square root is already pretty close in terms of a huge plant that grows anywhere, a tree should be interesting. ;)

aquashee, thats a great idea! a small area for normal norsna, and a huge complex of tunnels and lifts in the walls. The changing forest idea is awesome too, but i'd have to make them slow-growing, like purbanas maybe? just so a not constantly-churning forest.
maybe tiny pixel-sized birds and invisible insects :P

I am making one huge ancient oak tree like the ones in the norn terrarium, with platforms and such but hollowed out with lifts.
