What are some of your all-time favorite specific Norns/Grendels/Ettins? Ones that just really stuck in your memory?
Say the game they were in, what breed they were, what their name was, and the approximate time period.

For me, it had to be Creep Travail and Wrongful Quartz (named by Overflowing Tub), a Hardman Norn and a Treehugger Norn, respectively, from a loose 3DS feral run in I think late 2015. I can't list them separately because they really weren't separate. They were a duo, always around each other. And the reason they stood out in my memory is... admittedly kind of twisted.
They were always getting into trouble, either from Creep's viciousness and recklessness or Quartz's frailty and timidity. Creep could never decide whether she wanted to protect Quartz or kill her; at least once, she did both in quick succession, killing her right after killing an invading Grendel who was attacking her.
Thankfully I had the Tombstone Creator agent installed to wish them back each time one or both of them ended up dead. Ironically, it was their constant deaths that kept them alive for so much longer than all my other creatures in that run, giving me much more of an opportunity to get attached to them, since their resurrections took them back to the beginning of their current life stage.
It became less of a tragedy and more of a morbid running gag. Less "Oh no..." and more "Oh my god, they killed Kenny!"
Eventually, though, they both settled down and became nicer to each other. After that, they survived long enough to reach old age. I imagine even they joked about their turbulent history with each other occasionally... |

I'll always remember a pair of Mernorns I had in C2 way back in 2004, shortly after I had re-discovered the game. I believe their names were Peaches and Neptune - both sadly passed away after becoming stranded on the land above the Eastern ocean.
Another Norn I remember vaguely was an Aquanorn in C3/DS that I made using the gene splicer, but he had no arms or legs and so was stuck in a single position. I decided to pop him down near the gene splicer and go and tend to some other things, only to received a death notice that he had been killed by a Grendel, and because he wasn't able to move, he was practically defenceless. Poor thing. |
