(I assume this is in the right forum...) If you visit Ctopia you may know that me and SSR are setting up a creatures minecraft server for the CCsf! SSR is even making a texture pack for it, skins and recreating the C1 world as well! I'm posting this because I would like to have a head count of how many people think that they will play on the server at some point during the CCsf, so if you are going to join in on the fun could you please state so as I need this info to see how big the server needs to be. Server details will also be posted on the official CCSF site, which should be accessible to all! I don't play Minecraft myself, but I'm eager to see how the C1 world translates into another game. Bringing Creatures to other games is always fun to see! |

Ooh, yay, Minecraft! I would love to see what C1 Albia looks like in blocky form. Personally I prefer just playing survival over building in creative, but I would very much love to play a Creatures-themed survival server. Anyways, my username is 'Rhodan' in Minecraft and anywhere that's not the CC. And don't worry about griefers too much, Pirate_Rob. No problem! I have the utmost confidence in you both. Besides, as long as the server has regular backups, proper logs and administrative tools installed griefing shouldn't ever be a problem. I just don't like all this "Welcome and please don't grief." stuff though. It's like plastering "No littering!" signs all over a city, it makes it look like there's a littering problem. It also makes people feel unwelcome, in this case Laura's boyfriend, while they'd otherwise be completely trustworthy. Pet peeve. PS: I'm also super-jealous of you guys for having a computer that can run a Minecraft server.  My poor lappy, while otherwise very capable, cringes at the thought of any more than 4 players on a server.The Community Scribble: make (y)our own metaroom! |

Yes, please add me to the whitelist!!! HQentity!!! Pirate-rob, when yo say it will be survival mostly, what do you mean? Do you intend on starting a new server every time? And when is the server due to be open? Also, can I ask, has the server been hired or is it being run from a home pc? I definitely will not grief :L Just make a million backups. I'm just curious to see how you guys are doing this tbh cos I ran my own server a while back and its interesting to see how you're running it!! Also, what kind of scale are you gonna be building this on? Is it gonna be a full 256 blocks or what? |
