I don't think ElasticMuffin was implying that "Creatures stinx and that you have to buy spore", I think he was just pointing out that because Spore has such a fresh concept and has a lot of hype surrounding it, it's release will inevitably attract a lot of players and could divert a large amount of attention from Creatures. Please correct me if I'm wrong, EM... I don't have a great way with words tonight, I'm exhausted. I'm not sure if I'll be one of those people who will grab Spore as soon as it appears on the shelves, it would probably mean buying a new, powerful computer - something I cannot afford, and will not fork out for, as I'll be living on a university student's budget by then.  |

Well, I'd like to get Spore, but won't rush out & get it the day it's released. I generally wait for games I want to be on special (and that way I've usually upgraded my system beyond requirements by the tim I get the game - though no doubt I'll need to build a whole new one by then) And just like all the other games I play, won't stop me having a big soft spot for Creatures & what's left of the community  Back again! Beware! |

Spore does look like it will be good... I can't help but wonder if my poor computer will cope with it... I certainly hope so, because there's no way I can afford a new one now...  'Ich habe ein Meerschweinchen in meinen Unterhosen' |

My compys are all Media Center XPs, and are really fast for everything. Spore shouldn't be a problem. ps. I haven't played Monster Raannnrrrnnchhdoggy |

It's not just the OS that's an issue, it's the specs of the machine - the hardware - that also have an impact. As well as what annoying TSRs you might have running (why programmers have to have a second program dedicated to checking for updates 24/7 for EVERY damn program I'll never figure - they still have an update link IN the software and half of them ask on start as well! Nagware eat your heart out. I kill that sort of "service" asap & check when I'm good & ready) Back again! Beware! |

ElasticMuffin I can just imagine. The CC could morph into a Spore fan community, but we'd form a little Creatures sub-culture within it. Leeching off the popularity of the new game. But hey, that's a perfectly vaild mode of survival in my book. |
