Help Forum My Norns forget how to eat!    SweetClover      9/26/2025 Hi all, I've been playing Creatures again after a LONG absence. I'm currently playing C2. I have lisdude's Community Edition, and Canny Norns. Things have been going fine, but now some of my Norns have started to forget how to eat. The oldest one (3 hours?) I got to eat again by telling him to eat and smacking him if he didn't. After he actually ate the first item, he started gobbling away. I tried the same strategy on the other one, but now she's just trying to get away from Hand/Food/Everything. Any suggestions about how to get them to eat? Any additional COBs I should be using to help prevent this in the future? I know C2 is prone to these issues, but for some reason it's my favorite! I'd like to get it to work if I can.   Issy Moderator     10/1/2025 It sounds something like a slightly delayed-onset OHSS, but you are using the Canny Norns, which I thought prevented that almost entirely. Are you only using the Canny Norns, or are there breeds without the OHSS fixes of the Canny Norns present too? I don't recall what happens if you breed them together but I would imagine that OHSS could return if the offspring are able to survive. If that is not the case, then I am wondering how well the norns understand what is being asked of them. Do they know fully what "eat" and "food" mean? If you are trying to get them to do that without an understanding, and you are not using reward, only punishment, they probably will get confused/scared of you because they do not understand what they are being told to do and then getting punished for it. This would be inadvertently reinforcing the incorrect behaviors. Apologies, I'm not much help, its been a while since I've played C2, and those norns were always a little quirky compared to the other games! ~Issy
