Okay, so, I decided off my own bat to try and help Lurhstaap out a bit, by recolouring the relevant Gargoyle and Draconian sprites to match, so the Abyss Dragons wouldn't have to be mismatched any more.
This is what I was recolouring to (just a few pieces mashed together in a separate image in GIMP, so I could check the parts did, indeed, match):

Having determined that they did, indeed, match, I did up all the pieces for the upper arm sprite shown and imported them into SpriteBuilder. Unfortunately, I got this (bigger picture).
All I did was change the colours :/ I didn't mess with size or positioning at all, so I don't know why the sprites have suddenly moved. The colour issue I thought must have been a colour depth problem, but when I tried saving at a lower colour depth, SpriteBuilder complained and said it needed to be 24 bit... which is what it was saved as by default. So I officially have no idea why the colours are corrupted, either.
Any help would be much appreciated. The unedited images are importing just fine, I haven't touched the black in the sprites, I saved as the same format that SpriteBuilder exports (.bmp) and in, apparently, the correct (24 bit) colour depth.

Um... nevermind... Pilla suggested using Edos instead and that worked ^.^;

Aw, that's so nice of you! I was going to take a shot at this but I've been sick the last couple of days. I have no idea how to package them so they're an actual full breed with sprites, but that shouldn't be hard to figure out. Thank you!
EDIT: I have to say, the glitch effect is visually fascinating. I wonder if that could be preserved and used for like, a Ghost version of the breed, or something. XD
EDIT: While you're at it, can you make sure the eye color stays a contrasting hue so their eyes don't blend in too much when they've got color/color blend genes? White or pale yellow might even be good so they pick up really intensely hued eyes.

I have tried to get in contact with both of them in the past with no luck. That lack of permission is why I never did this before. But Intyalle began the work on her own initiative and I can't disagree that it would look a lot better if the arms didn't clash with the body color. And she's put so much work into it. So, since I haven't been able to get ahold of them, I figured there's no harm in finishing it. If they return to the community and object, we'll just take it down and go back to the old method of using the actual Draconian and Gargoyle sprite slots (Geat-Z and W.)
To be honest, so little is happening in the Creatures community these days that I find it hard to imagine either of them objecting. It's not like more than about fifty people, tops, will even see it, and I don't even want to guess how few people will actually use it at all, much less on any type of consistent or long-term basis. XD
I generally have used pigment genes to make them look better, but that limits one rather a lot when it comes to color. It's worked fine, and if we're asked to stop using the edited sprites, will continue to work fine - but I also understand the desire to have a fitting set of sprites for them that match. I've even considered making original sprites for them (but decided to finish their metaroom first).

Like I said, I decided to finish the metaroom I'm already working on first. That's a major project that I've already begun significant work on. But I don't intend to stop making new content for Creatures for a long while yet, so in the future, that's definitely on my list of things to do! In the meantime, having these as an option for people to use if they want to will be nice. I'm grateful to Intyalle for taking so much time on it. Even just editing the sprites, there are a whole lot of them to go through.

New metaroom?nope ,I re-read and saw nothing about a metaroom!Thats cool -ribbit-
I saw you edit it in lol -ribbit-
Yes,I know -ribbit-
Thats why I meant if you allready going to edit, then instead of cheap recolor, can do own sprites..
Just personal view..
If for people then just use Draconian & Gargoyle as is and use pigment-ribbit-
How will the metaroom look like? -ribbit-

It's the very last line of the post. Easy to miss.
Editing and making entirely new art are very different projects in terms of magnitude. Even if I were to begin new sprites right this instant, it would be months before they were ready to be used. In the meantime, this will be available for people who are bothered by the difference in color between the Gargoyle arm and the Draconian body/et cetera.
It's designed specifically for my dragon breeds. It's got shore on either end, with walkable beaches so they can go in and out of the water without needing help from the hand or an elevator (though I do also have a spot for a water-access elevator anyway just in case). On the small portions of land are large trees and smaller plants, and the sandy beach. The two largest trees have a plank across the water connecting them. Flightless breeds will thus be able to make use of the space as well as the flighted dragons, who will be able to fly above and below the plank. The sea has open water and various sandy and rocky areas. I intend to make a diversity of environments, from brighter-colored areas with coral and such closer to the surface and more deep-water stuff at the bottom.
It's really, really big, to take full advantage of the swimming and flying agents. And I'll also have to make several agents to populate the room's ecosystem and such. That's part of why it's taking so long to paint. (That, and I am never content with my rock textures... ) But it will be worth it!

How bad does this gargoyle-Draconian pigmented color look actually?? Any screenshots? -ribbit-
Is it really that bad? -ribbit-
Love metaroom idea! But...no lava for dragons? -ribbit-

It depends on how you set the pigment genes, but it clashes really badly in some cases. I generally just ignored it, but Intyalle was bothered enough to edit it. It's almost 6 AM here and I've been up all night but will get screenshots after I rest.
They're not all fire dragons. Actually, the originals are the Abyss Dragons, a deep-ocean breed, hence the emphasis on water space. Only later did I begin working on flying, surface-type dragons. In the end there will be several breeds - the swimming-only Abyss Dragons, a breed that only flies, a breed that does both, and specialty breeds like one for icy metarooms, a toxic one, et cetera.

I'm the nervous impulse that makes a baby laugh, the negative turtle that ruins tires on the freeway, a living ghost.
Also, I think that changing the color with pigment would tend to make them too dark. That's how I'm used to colored norns getting in-game, at least. |

It can, yes. I use the pigment bleed genes more than the actual pigment genes, which helps. I've discovered you can get a lot of variation without increasing any pigment gene above 128. Dropping out one of the colors (say, red) and then adjusting the bleed genes produces a huge range of hue variety, while leaving the remaining colors at normal 128 brightness.
Though I do sometimes make darker ones because I like how they look in some metarooms, like the Deep Abyss and Hydro Nornterrarium. Their dark scales blend, but their eyes pop. It's a cool effect. I have an unusually bright monitor, though, so what looks good to me is often too dark for others. It sucks.

I "not draw new altogether" because I am, simply, just not that good. I'm not even close to it. Recolouring just involved playing with some filters to get a good look, and now I just have to go through and apply the saved filter settings to all couple thousand individual sprites.
Spriting a new breed is no small task. Unless you intend to do it yourself, maybe don't be so flippant about it?
