Where did you get C1 from? Is it GOG.com's The Albian Years?
What OS are you running?

It can take a while for babies to start happening in C1, and if you've already got 12 in the world, there's a breeding limit that will prevent any pregnancies from taking. It also helps if all your norns are adult (not just adult-sized - usually they have to be at least 1 hour and 20 minutes old). There are a few more breeding hints available at Muppetboy's Geatville.
As for C2, it has always been finicky. Try this resource and this resource for starters.

Creatures 1 has always been a test of patience to make norns breed, or a waiting game as I like to call it. The typical strategy is to keep the Male and Female seperate from each other until the female is fertile (High estrogen, moving downwards) and then bring them together. If you struggle to have them breed even with this, try to increase the sex drive of both of them (but mostly just the male) with tomatoes from the breeder's kit.
It is worth noting however that a false pregnancy can happen, where they make the long kisspop sound and a norn appears to be pregnant, the number veerrry slowly counts to the max yet, the mother doesn't lay her egg at all. Instead, the number starts counting down as if she did. This is a false pregnancy, and it wastes a lot of nornish time.
Creatures 2 however, is pretty much the same as Creatures 1 except much more accelerated, pregnancies and recoveries are much faster and the general estrogen cycle seems faster, meaning less waiting. |

Good luck trying to get Creatures 2 to run on Windows 10. It seems that with any operating system above Windows 7 it throws a hissy fit and runs very slowly or just simply doesn't run at all. |
