When my Norns become adults they have floating heads.
Grendels aren't so bad, but I love Ettins! They're adorable! The complexity of creatures is quite amazing. |

Did you install the body data with the ending att. in the correct folder? Without these files the head will float around.

To be honest, this topic is still a little bit vague. I wrote an article which explains in detail what you should cover when requesting help.
For now would be interesting: What game do you play? What head sprites do your creatures use? What body sprites do they use? Are they glitching only in certain poses or always? Are they fresh from the egglayer or already a couple generations old?

I play c3/ds (techanically exodus.) Gog version. And the breed only came with an egg agent, no ATT files. It happened with fresh eggs (I think) I'm using boot camped Windows and it is installed in the c:/ drive because I was retarded and put a pound sign in my username so I can't install it anywhere else. I'm using the colortrue breed. I have no idea what head sprites they are, probably all the same one.

Colourtrue is a genetic breed not a sprite one. Are you sure you have the required breed sprites already installed? Because that egg agent is unlikely to come with sprites and body data included.

Breeds that include sprites have them all packed up inside the agent file. They install when you lay the first egg.
The game is a little old, so it may have some problems retroactively patching glitchy creatures once the sprites are provided.
And Dragoler is right, Colortrue is just a genetic variation. It is not a dedicated breed with own sprites.

Which Colortrue breed? I can think of a couple that use that designation for a genetic breed version of a full breed - the Colortrue Pearl Mermaids for example.

All of them from the orignal colortrues. I think they're based on the orignal breeds.

"Colortrue" is only genetics. They have custom colors, but they put them onto sprites of other breeds. They need other breeds to display correctly. That's why they are called something like Colortrue Gaius or Colortrue Pearl Mermaid Norns. That means you need e.g. Gaius sprites to see them the right way. That's only possible by installing the original breed.
So let me ask again: which Colortrue breed did you download?

The fact that they're displaying as the original breeds only means you don't have the sprites for the intended breed, probably, unless you specifically downloaded something called, say, "Colortrue Chichi Norns" or something to that effect.

.-. But the normal versions of them are hatchable. And the breed is this: http://creaturescaves.com/downloads.php?section=Breeds&view=196

Have you hatched the regular versions in your game before?

Oh. Huh. So someone actually did just make something called plain "Colortrue Norns". Odd. Well, anyway, it is a genetic breed, which means it doesn't use special sprites of its own. So maybe it's trying to use sprites from another breed that you don't have installed, hence causing the problem? Have you installed any other breeds which might mess with the .ATT files?

Could you perhaps post a screenshot of the creatures with floating heads so we can discern which sprites they use? Or even better, post the creatures up for adoption so we can check the sprite slots from the genetics and make sure they match up with the pictures.

Well, if it's a problem with the breed itself, then it should happen in a new world too.

Ok. Um, I'll try hatching the normal breeds and see if they have the problem too.
