| Protective Tub does not work | |

I can't get Protective Tub to work. I can't even inject it. I do have the remastered patch, so that isn't the issue. I can inject Supernamer but it doesn't autoname my creatures. Am I doing something wrong or something?

Which injector are you using? You have to use the DS one. It won't appear in the C3 one. I had that problem for ages. :p

I don't know where the DS injector is. I don't even know where anything related to DS is! I have Creatures Exodus. Maybe that's the issue?

Nope. Exodus includes both games. In fact there's no real reason to play C3 itself since you can do a docked game with DS and thus have both shops to play with at once. Plus a lot of agents and such only work for DS. Are you running C3 or a docked game? I have Exodus so I know it's not that.

Have you installed the game into your "My Documents" folder? If you haven't it can cause problems. |

I have the GOG version of it. I can't make a docked world

Yes you can. I have GoG version too and I do it all the time. You just have to install the play offline patch. I think it's on playdockingstation.com or something like that but I found it pretty quickly just Googling for play Docking Station offline. It's at the bottom of the page, when you find it.
Also fwiw I did not install into documents and I haven't noticed any problems due to it, so I'd do the offline patch and make a docked world before messing with my install. But that's just my advice. :p

What happens when you try? Did you get the offline patch yet?

You can find a description of the DS Offline Option at the Creatures Wiki. To make a docked world, you need to open Docking Station, then click 'make a new world' and click the button with the DS logo on it - then that will toggle whether the world is DS standalone or C3 docked with DS.

I don't have a docking station icon.

Where are you looking for the icon to change the type of world you're creating? If you look at the image here, under 'Create a New World', you should see the plain DS icon. You click on it to change it into the one shown in the picture.

I only have Creatures 3 on my desktop. No DS.

Where is Creatures Exodus installed in your computer? You might need to go hunting in your folders to find it. Check your C drive - it might be in a folder called GOG Games.

it is indeed. There's no install thing though, just InstallBlast (which I think BROKE Creatures 3)

You need to run "engine.exe" - can you see a copy of that?

Yes, but it spits an error at me when I click on it. When I hit continue, the game doesn't open.

You might have to reinstall to avoid the InstallBlast rubbish - there are a couple of guides on how to do this in the community section.

I did, and the error is that there's two help catalogue things?

Check in the catalogue folder.
If there's 2 identical files, delete one.
If there's just one, open it in Notepad or something and check to make sure the data isn't there twice; sometimes they unpack wrong or something and the data's there twice and it conflicts with itself.
This happens with other agents too, sometimes. |

Ok I'll do that when I get home
