Help Forum Please help me everything is a mess    BlueCatPaws      12/26/2015 Okay I may have put that a tiny bit more panicked then I intended, but I'm going insane. @ _ @ I have creatues 3 (from the disk version, creatures exodus) and I really REALLY want to put different coloured creatures in from the downloads. Basically, I made this account to tell you I'm really lost. Windows 8 is stupid and broken and I don't know what to do. How do I even put them in??? How do I extract the files? Windows 8 made it so that you basically have to pay for some mediocre programme to open zip files with. I reaaaaaally need help. Where do I put the files once it's extracted if I even can? Hello I am here   SlimeTV   12/26/2015 if your looking for the folder to put the files in, it should be (i have GOG version of the game so the directory is different. But it's still the same idea) CProgram Files (x86)\GOG.com\Creatures Exodus\Creatures 3\My Creatures if not that, try this CUsers\whatever your user name is \Documents\Creatures\Creatures 3\My Creatures winzip is a good program to try. When your trial runs out you can still use it, it will just bug you to buy the full version, but it wont stop you from using it. 7zip is also good. but IDK if it's free. when you extract the files into the folders you want, just load up the game, load up whatever world you plan to use, and import them into the world. You have to tell the computer to open .zip and .rar files with the 7Zip File Manager.   Malkin Manager     12/26/2015 There are some key shortcuts that you can use with Windows 8 to make things happen. If you don't want to use WinZip, you can install another program, like 7-Zip. 7-Zip handles RAR files as well, which is useful for some larger downloads in the CC. You can even make 7-Zip the default program used to unzip files (specific instructions for 7-Zip), which means you never have to open WinZip again. For adopting creatures, you need to go to This PC > Documents > Creatures > Creatures 3 (or Docking Station) > My Creatures and put the .creature file in there. The names of these files should look like "001_clay_czxlt_c2e4n_lkyvn_gkve5.ds.creature" (for an unnamed Docking Station creature) or "Acesco_001_rune_4z8z6_ywjlq_ptkyb_wgqut.ds.creature" (for a named Docking Station creature). It's for creatures 1 but most of the stuff applies to all games. there's also creatures wiki. The creatures wiki coveres everything about creatures and all creatures games. I put in the three extra breeds that the creators of the game made (siamese, astro, zebra) and a few I found around and they all work ;w; Thank you everyone that helped <3 I might try to get docking station to work (since I did try to get c2 to work and.. yeah that didnt go well, but im gonna see if i can buy it from gog.com XD) and see how that goes soon ;w; Hello I am here
