| Genetics Kit C1: Problem laying eggs | |

I wonder if anyone can help with this since I haven't been able to find a solution so far! I'd be incredibly grateful if anyone can
Genetics Kit works fine, until I click on the 'Lay Egg' button. The egg appears in the world just as it should, but when I hatch it... the norn that pops out is NOT the norn I just tried to lay. No matter what genome I load, I always get a horse norn with 'unregistered' parents.
I feel like the answer may be something obvious that is staring me in the face! But I have no idea what it is!
- using the GOG version of C1
- have installed the remaster patch
- have tried running genetics kit in admin mode
- have tried using the 'inject' button instead of 'lay' (I just get an error message)
If anyone has any idea how to fix this I'd be incredibly grateful. |

Have you made sure that whatever sprites you are using have been loaded into the game? I only use the genetics kit for C3, but if the game has never used the sprites before the creatures I hatch appear as a different breed.

You may be running the genetics kit in admin mode, but are you sure you installed it in admin mode? This can make an important difference to file permissions. |

Dragola: Yes, at the moment I'm only making clones :c
ylukyun: Now you mention it I don't think I did! I will try that, thanks :] |

Uninstalled and reinstalled in admin mode, it didn't work. It's very weird, I've been trying to clone one of my Purple Mountain hybrids and instead I keep getting a little horse norn. |
