| Help with items in C12DS... | |

Alright, here's my issue. A year ago or so, I bought Creatures Exodus from GOG. Never got the dang thing to work properly, even after several edits to integral files. So, I gave up and uninstalled it after some great frustration with constant errors. It was just more trouble than it was worth (additionally, I learned if you uninstall it, the files completely delete from the computer and you must re-purchase the game. Not nice!).
So, I'm running Offline DS with C12DS now. I have a physical copy of C3 somewhere, but I can't find it. I miss my Jungle Grendels.
Anyway, yes- C12DS. How can I delete objects that I don't need? Say, something that isn't an agent. If I had C3, I could simply just put certain objects in the recycler or the airlock to get rid of it. I worry that if I have a glitched egg (such as one that causes a crash upon hatching; which has happened rarely in the past), I will not be able to get rid of it without exporting everyone and leaving the egg in a world so I can reset.
I need a means to simply delete/remove an item that I am holding. I know how to completely remove or kill norns though CAOS, but not items. Is there a CAOS command for it that I've forgotten? Or a helpful agent that I can use to delete/recycle an item? I am also having issues with potatoes (of all things) growing out of control in DS with C12DS. If a potato is placed anywhere, it prompts the game to grow more of it. Unlike carrots, I can't just remove the agent and reinject it for some reason with C12DS. Gluttonous Norns have me a bit overwhelmed with potatoes to the point that I don't even want them around anymore. They simply keep being carried and seeded to weird places, or my Norns go into a spiral of eating them and nothing else. If the solution is to simply remove the agent for potatoes entirely, I will do so and back it up (if this is safe; I am unsure with C12DS), but I do not know the file name.
I would also like a tool to copy eggs in DS, if possible. In C3, I used the machine in the back of the ship to copy eggs that I liked for genetic testing to quickly age a Norn to identify negative mutations. I haven't played in many years so try not to use too many abbreviations for things for me, thank you.
Thank you for any help in advance.

There's a really simple way to get rid of stuff in DS. Just open the CAOS command line, position the hand's finger over the thing you want gone, and enter kill hots into the command line. That can get rid of anything, even stuff like doors and elevators. As for copying, there's an agent called the Mini-Copier. It can duplicate pretty much anything that can be held by the hand and isn't a gadget, including creatures. |

Very helpful, thank you. I tried this immediately on the terrible spuds and it worked perfect. As for the Agent, I have not yet tried it. I'll have to do that tomorrow, after some sleep. Thank you for your help. However, I will wait for additional comments and suggestions from others, if any.

You don't need to repurchase anything you've bought on GOG. They even allow you to buy a game, then hand your password to your friends so they can download the games for free. |

The issue with Gog is that I bought the game a year or two ago, so I don't know under what username and password that I bought the game under. It's not under my usual names, so I'm really stumped and can't do a password recovery until I figure that out. I'm just pretty fed up with all the issues I've had with it. I could never get Gog's Exodus to function properly, either- so the stability of my current set up with DS alone with C12DS is just far more appealing to having errors right now. I don't know why Gog's Exodus COMPLETELY removes it from the computer when uninstalled (something I had to do for an error). Usually a game will leave the installer intact. It didn't.
