I just started a new world and after hatching a bunch of norns, I'm noticing something weird.
They're experiencing unexplained pain.
Usually it occurs with a few at a time. They'll walk around saying 'ow' and their pain levels get pretty high also resulting in fear and a little anger. After a few minutes they'll be fine again.
Nothing is hurting them as far as I can tell and it doesn't matter where they are in the world.
The only thing I did differently with this world is that I installed C2toDS. |

A norn just died from it. =/ |

Try isolating them in a room with no agents or other creatures whatsoever and see if it keeps happening. They may be slapping each other. Also check them with the Hoverdoc. They may have bacteria on them. |

The world is devoid of bacteria and I kept an eye on them to see if there was slapping but it wasn't slapping either.
I was literally watching the one that died, it's pain spiked suddenly to 100 and it died after a few minutes of fluctuating pain levels. |

What breed and generation are the Norns? |

Generation 1 all the C3 breeds (save the non-downloadable mall breeds), chichis, giraffe norns and marsh norns.
They were all CFFers but I've played with them before without an issue so I don't think it's the CFF genes. |

Well, did you try what I suggested? Just isolate a Norn, monitor the levels of chemicals in its body, and try to see if anything special goes on in its biochemistry when the pain and wounded spikes happen. |

If they're in C2toDS, are they mucking with bees/cacti/other things like that? |

@wingheart
No, the norns were in all different places not just the C2toDS metaroom. |

I isolated them and monitored them with the x-ray. Their pain and fear just suddenly spikes and there doesn't appear to be an increase in any bad chemicals in them to be causing it. |

Were they near the volcano or a thunderstorm? Thunder can scare them, and the volcano is pretty deadly. I don't remember the volcano scaring them though, just randomly killing them.

The one that died was near the volcano but I mean it's happened with some that were just chilling in the incubator tray in the meso too, so idk what's going on here. |

I have no idea why it's happening. It's super weird that gen 1s are doing that though.

Yeah, I have no idea what went wrong. I spent so much time setting up the world before hatching them only to find the world is glitchy for some reason or another. SIGH. |

Do you have any cosfiles in your bootstrap that weren't in the default game that could be causing this? |

Yes, but they were in there for previous worlds too and I had no issues then. |

Try putting the Norns in a different world and see if they're still doing that. |

I remade without C2toDS and even tried removing the few new agents I'd used since the last functional world and they're still doing it. Looks like I might be uninstalling and reinstalling the game again. |
