I realized that this idea is pretty darn good, but that I suck too much to realize it
See, in the most games of the Kirby franchise, there exists a mode where you challenge the nasty King DeDeDe in a race to eat the most food items. It is called the "Gourmet Race"!
I thought "Hey, this would TOTALLY work in creatures!" so here I present my idea: Every contestant can add a creature, naturally bred of genetically engineered, to the run. There is only 2 rules: every food item eaten on the way is worth 1 point, every time reaching the goal before anyone else is worth 10 points, just as the original. The run ends when everyone reaches the goal. For the sake of the contest, one could add new rules, e.g. that the match is forced to end e.g. 30 seconds after the first one reaches the goal.
Anything goes. You can manipulate the ATTR of a norn for example. In my rulebook it is legit, as long as it can still eat and/or move.
Beat the hell out of other creatures? FINE! If you wanna waste your time like that...
All that counts is run and eat. You as gengineer need to find the balance. Do not forget: virtuallly any edit is legit. It MIGHT be that you can beat contestants to death, but it also might be that you waste worthy eating time.
The run itself should consist of 3 laps over different courses, only directed by food.
As I said, I am unable to host this, but I still think it'd make a nice challenge anyway.

Certain goals could be defined by certain smells or other rules for example. The "ultimate goal" that gives 10 points, could be grendel or ettin home smell for example (as "norn home smell" also is "geat smell" due to a glitch, allowing for brutal confusion).

This sounds like an excellent test for intelligence... similar to how some users will make a line of food to try and test Norns to reach certain Metarooms and such.

I think it would be a bit tricky to measure points, especially for eating food. But I suppose you could make the food a custom agent which announces on the screen when it's eaten and who it's eaten by. |

Or you simply use an OV variable within the creature itself. You'd still need food specifically code for this purpose, but that isn't much of a problem.
