I'm trying to install creatures exodus on my laptop. I have windows 10, amd, and radeon graphics, and so far nothing has happened. I got the drm free version from humblebundle, and have been fidgeting with compatibility, but I'm pretty lost. Also, it I can get it to work, I'm new to the community and was wondering how it works. Feel free to send me to any intro guide. Thanks a lot! |

Just when I try to install, it does nothing. I haven't even been able to yet, because the setup isn't running. |

Okay, that's just weird. Maybe buy it from the site? Your download might have been mucked up. (It happens.) EDIT: As in, the GoodOldGames site. That one's been updated so everything except C2 reliably works on Windows 10. C2 is fussy and will only work on some machines. |

I mean, I'd rather not buy it again... I guess I'll just keep trying. It came up with the install earlier, but it was moving so slow I just assumed it wasn't working. I read that you have to change the compatibility settings, but idk what to set them to. |

XP if it has it... also, 16 bit color I think... Shouldn't need to run it as administrator too with XP compatibility, but if it lets you, it can't really hurt. I have Creatures Triple Pack with Exodus, Albian Years and Village and I have the same issue with the installers hanging. The only thing I can suggest is you download Exodus from GOG.com as that seems to run perfectly fine. |

You don't need to buy GOG games again to redownload them. You should just be able to log in and get the updated version.  If you try that and you're still stuck, you could try asking on the GOG forum for the Creatures series - they may have more relevant suggestions.Edit: I just realized you don't have the GOG one - I feel silly now.  |

I have a few theories. 1. You need to run it in compatibility mode for a previous version. Not likely. Don't try this first. 2. You need to change your display from 32 bit color to 16 bit color. 3. the compiled DirectX setup is super old and not working. If it gives you the option to skip DirectX setup, do so. My old Creatures version took almost 10-15 min before the installer came up. You could try and start the installer then go make some coffee, go for a walk or something else and then check again after 10-15 min. If nothing then not sure what else to do. I bought from GoG after being annoyed at the slow install xD |
