Hi, all! Gosh, I need to post more often!
Okay, so I recently installed the GOG version of Creatures 1 onto my Windows 7 Home Premium PC, and everything went great, though I haven't played it yet. However, my computer ran a scheduled Avast virus scan, and it came up saying the Creatures 1 application and some associated applications such as Backup, Breeder's Kit and the Hatchery were rootkits! ![[nscared] [nscared]](/images/smilies/emot_scared.gif)
Has anyone else had this problem? Do you think something may have affected my download of the game? Or is this a false positive others have had before? Should I redownload and reinstall, just to be on the safe side? I downloaded Creatures 2 and Creatures Village at the same time as Creatures 1 and both of those appear unaffected.
Thank you for any advice you may be able to offer!

Hi! It's most likely a false positive. I doubt there's anything to worry about, although it might be a good idea to post about it on the GOG.com forums to inform other users in case they have the same issue with Avast. |
