I'm trying to use the Garden Box butterflies in Veridia, but they don't thrive. It says they need plants, but I don't know of any. Any recommendations?

If I recall, the Mossy Shee's tree actually works for butterflies! The colour palette might not be what you're looking for, but it's a relatively long lived plant and can't be eaten by norns, so if it worked out it might serve as a semi-longterm thing for caterpillars to live on?

The Roses Garden Box patch plant is butterfly-friendly too; it attracts them by emitting a sweet, flowery scent. In fact, you were the one who sprited it! |

Any plant that sprouts flowers should be good for them. Make sure your caterpillars can climb up a plant though, they need to so that to survive (I think.) The Starflower is quite pretty. I've had it die out on me in a few hours though. The glowflower is really good and doesn't die out that easily. The Sparkleseed vendor might also be worth a look. You might have some luck with the Starsettia as well? I haven't used it yet, so I don't if it actually grows in Veridia.
With the Sunflowers from the Dustdevil pack, you can get butterflies in the Ettin terrarium! Doesn't help you with Veridia at all, but it's quite neat to see butterflies living in the desert.

Sure thing, as soon as I can figure out what's killing these aubergines.

There's a bug with the aubergines now? Have you downloaded the latest version, because I'm sure I fixed all that nonsense... |

I don't recall, but I'll download that version just in case and test it extensively, see if I can figure out what's up.

Be sure to turn Autokill off too, then that way we can see any error messages the aubergines throw up. We can continue this via PM if you like, I don't wanna hijack your topic! |

Sorry for the double post, but for a more on topic reply... The Mossy Shee tree doesn't seem to be working for my butterflies. They climb up, and then down, and then up again before falling down dead.
Also I don't seem to be having any more issues with the aubergines. Turns out I just needed the new version.

Relieved to hear about the aubergines!
I only ever saw caterpillars interact with the Mossy Shee's Tree, back when I was play-testing it. Maybe I can go back in and try and change that at some point. |

Yeah, they don't even make it to butterfly. The 'pillars just drop dead before they get that far.

Do they grow into big caterpillars, or do they remain teeny-tiny? Do they hop off one plant after a few crawls to try to look for another? It's been a while since I've played, but I seem to remember that they do better in rooms like the Norn Terrarium, where they've got a decent groundcover of plants to hang out with. Have you tried the Bumba or Cheese Plants?

I don't recall. I'll take a look again and report back, maybe try some more flowery options.
