We all know what norns look like when upset, but what about enraged? Every time i think of it i picture something like a growling Chihuahua, or a hissing cat. What do you guys think? Also, what do you think they sound like when they scream in fear/anger/despair?
"Nuh-uh-uh girl, you do NOT need another pet simulator-"
If you mean by expression-wise - you can see that much easier in Creatures 2 and 3/DS (as well in the village series) way easier and often.
But very rare in the original Creatures game
(You can see the angry looks of the C1 Norns pictured in my C1 refs that Laura posted one of them - the rest is in discreption)
Funny thing is some years back I actuly asked
what is it that trigger that angry face specialy in C1

Hmm...hissing and growling could be fitting more for the cat like Norns (Bengal, Siamese?) Or most of the "cat nose" marked DS breeds (everything that dosn't have the Norn-ish style like Bruin and Civet)..
I know the hissing is what my Neko Ettins would do XD
I think I see Norns anger be more human like with some
animal like bits *shrug*
A lot of the C3 Norns and Grendels look like they're getting some sadistic pleasure out of being angry and hitting their victims. The C1 and most of the C2 breeds have a more purely aggressive look. I think growling chihuahua is a really good way to describe it! My favorite "growling chihuahuas" are the C1 Grendels, their teeth look like they could do some serious damage!
I think if there was another level of facial expression, for when their anger is truly at it's peak, you'd have much of the same thing, but maybe they'd get a bit red. I think some breeds could have puffed out fur, giving them the illusion of size. And for the males maybe their horns could grow? That would be neat.
I'll have to give some thought to the Norns screaming in despair. Maybe I could make some sort of rendering.
That's one of the drawbacks of C3DS norns -- their emotions aren't anywhere nearly as easy to read as the C1 and C2 norns and sometimes you have to use the hoverdoc to fiind out what they're feeling. You can tell when C3DS norns are afraid or when they're feeling crowded, but there's really not that much difference in terms of facial expression between tiredness or boredom and misery.
One thing I like about C2 norns is that you can tell when getting some sleep has really made a big difference in helping them feel better because they start to smile in their sleep -- and although I don't always like seeing the evil little demon's grin on a C2 norn's face, at least you know that means they're angry. I do picture an angry norn laying its ears flat in much the same way that angry cats and angry horses do and baring its teeth in much the same way that angry C2 norns already do.
