Would anyone happen to know how to read the data in the palette file for Creatures 1? This is supposed to include all of the included colors in R,G,B format. I'm just curious if this might help me out with a couple of C1 things. The file is called palette.dta and can be found under Creatures 1/Palettes.
My main reason for looking into this is because my Easter egg sprites are slightly off in their colors, and I've been meaning to look into a possible update to them. Maybe this isn't what I'm looking for, but I'm just curious if there is a way to view this data. Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is what you're after, but the Creatures Wiki page for palette.dta has a list of contents.

Thanks, Malkin! Of course it's all a jumble to me. Seems to have everything I need, if only it was easy to decipher. Maybe a C1 developer will have some other thoughts, as I think this is one of the important elements of making sure colors show up correctly.
It's more of a future project and reference, though, so there's no rush. I do appreciate that link, though!

There's also a tutorial available at The Shee's Lost Knowledge, which has a bit more information about 'washed out' images.
