I am playing DS and I have a generation two Harlequin/Bengal that sleeps way more than the others. I checked him for sleep toxin and he didn't have it. I've had to slap him awake so he'd eat and not starve. I think it's genetic, but I'm not sure.

Do you have his genetic file by any chance? I would be happy to take a look at it for you to confirm if there's anything odd going on genetically! Definitely sounds like that's the case. I'm a bit rusty on C3/DS genetics, but I would guess that he has some strange mutation that keeps him asleep. I also believe the HoloDoc (if that's what you used to check for sleep toxin) doesn't alert you if there is a very low level of a toxin present. This does sound much more like a genetic issue, though. Hopefully I can help!

GrayDragonEmily, I have a second generation Norn (I'm using the Farbe genome right now) who had a similar problem - she slept for about 15 minutes before I managed to wake her up. She hasn't slept since so we'll see what happens.
You might try the Stone Lamp C3/DS COB available here at Creatures Caves in downloads to see if that helps him. It woke up my super sleeper after turning it on and off a few times, reducing her sleepiness drive enough for her to finally eat.

I once had a slow-ager that died because he slept too much. It would've been nice to know that back then.
