Does anyone else run ridiculously long wolfling runs? I am on hour 400 or so (gen 150) and just realized that my norns are perfectly adapted for the kitchen area of the C12DS metaroom... and nowhere else. I haven't looked at any genomes yet, but they seem to be almost the opposite of what you'd expect from self sufficient, high generation norns:
-they have gait mutations that keep them from wandering
-they lose health extremely quickly without constantly eating
-they seem to be unable to seek out food if not in sight of it
They also seem to have some other beneficial mutations (developing a sex drive very early and maintaining high levels of friendliness, recovering quickly from pregnancy, etc). They're basically breeding machines.
Who else has seen weird examples of evolution in the game?

Breeding Machines and Immortality tend to pass on their genes the best, and that's often what evolution turns into after many gens for creatures... Intelligence isn't particularly selected for in their environment unfortunately.... The ideal creature in their world is the one that moves the least and breeds the most... The best you can do is cull out ones that breed too ridiculously fast or that don't age properly, that should get you some more interesting ones, and you can make them run through an IQ test also, which should get rid of really dumb ones or ones with very bad gaits.

I'm not so concerned with producing "good" norns. I mostly just like to see what happens after a lot of generations and time.

Without weeding out the superbreeding or immortality, you pretty much always will end up with imbeciles that sit still, either breeding constantly or just never dying. So many high-gens I got from the warp were like that (some were pretty though). Another thing that happens a lot is the appearance or pigment genes go away.
Seeyou7.net has some creatures that are super-high gen for download, supposedly all legit, from back when the warp was operational, but they did have those bad traits weeded out (immortality, fast aging, gaits that don't let them move)... Still, I'm sure there is a lot of weird stuff left in there.
You can get them here.
Some of the norns there use sprites from the Shee-Lah Breeds. These are very pretty breeds with their own sprites, based on Amanora's colorful creatures genome, and these breeds should be fully genetically compatible with her butterfly and dream norns (Like those two breeds of Amanora's, there are versions of the Shee-Lah breeds with both the old and new versions of Amanora's genome, the newer version is more compatible with other genomes).

There's also a few high gen Creatures running around Creatures Caves. Grendel Man has a 300th gen Grendel pack here. Allekha has a pack of 200th gen Norns. I've bred a few myself, like my 100th gen Grendels and the 400th gen Norns here.
