This winter we had the tenth anniversary of the CCSF. I also mentioned in one of my bibbles that C1 is about to hit 20 years old in 2016. It may be a little premature, but I would like to open up a brainstorming discussion on things we could do for that year. If we choose to add it to CCSF or host something separate, I think it is an important milestone regardless. Any ideas? Any official thoughts from forum admins or community organizers? It’s a me! Oh that would be so much fun to celebrate the first game of a gameseries we all love so much! I think it deserves something of it's own. But I guess that also includes the questions of, how big should the celebrations be? And when? If it's too close to the CCSF then it might not be able to be super big, but if it's a while between the two people have more time to put into a seperate celebration  |

I love this idea! C1 is my favourite game in the series too, although I do think it should be separate from the CCSF. What is the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything? 42! |

What date is the anniversary?  I really like Nutter's idea of having a Creatures 1 themed CCSF. I think it'd be easier to coordinate and there wouldn't be the stress of hosting two seperate events, with a chance of one overshadowing the other.An important key to success is planning ahead. If we leave enough time to properly organise everything and rally round, then there's no reason why we can't put together something special. I've never tried making COBs, but it'd be a good excuse to learn! I can also picture a lot of agents being lovingly crafted to have a Creatures 1 feel to them.  |

I can't find an exact date. I do know it was released in 1996. I even checked the many wiki, and a history told by Steve grand. If you need an exact date, I suppose you could ask Steve. Yeah a 2016 themed CCSF would be good too. I would be more then willing to help if we choose to do something seprate or just one that year. It's year away. From Wikipedia: "The original Creatures game, released in the United Kingdom and Australia in November 1996 and released in North America in July 1997..." Only lists the exact date for Creatures 2 and onward. |

So I guess you could chose since we do not have an exact date, but just a year. Seprate celebrations, or a bigger, better, special Creatures Community Spirit Festival focusing on ( but not limited to ) C1 cobs, worlds, C1 world meta room conversation, C1 cob conversation. I understand planning two separate events might be a lot of work. Perhaps we could push CCSF until 2016. We could move CCSF 2015 up to like July. We had it quite late this year. Late Halloween, thanksgiving, early Christmas I believe. I am sure getting back to COBs scripting might be fun. COB portion for C1? Share your Favorite C1 moments with your creatures? It’s a me! This thread is really exciting! I have never made any COBs or scripts but my degree will be done in August so I'll finally have some free time...hopefully I can participate ~* suzemaria *~ |

Well someone mentioned in response to bible about C1 turning 20 in 2016 that C1 was old enough to legally smoke now. They said they wanted to draw some some Norns smoking. I admit that would be cool. Well and 20 years is a huge milestone. Steve Grand may not be involved with creatures much anymore due to his new project. I bet he is proud that one of his games has had devoted fans for twenty years. Maybe we could get him to write something up about the anniversary?
