Creatures lifespan in terms of hours

I thought I may have asked this question before, but I cannot find my post if I did indeed ask it. I was wondering which creatures games allows for Norns to live the longest.

I know it depends on breeds, and I used to have the data. I mean like Generation 1 breeds included with the games in terms of hours. think it was C3 creatures that lived the longest.

Here you go! Mind, it lacks the Creatures 1 and 2 breeds. In my experience, the Creatures 3/Docking Station breeds are the shortest lived. I have a creature in C1 who is currently 11 hours old, and the chart is very accurate for C3.

Oliver, one of the Akamai Canny Norns in the C2 CCSF run, lived for 12 hours, so it's a pretty safe bet that C1 and C2 Norns live longer. Some C3/DS breeds can live a long time, though they are third party breeds. My Anai Stingers come to mind.

Thank you. It's been nothing me for some time. I was certain it was C3/DS Norns, but I had that nagging feeling it was C1 instead.

The original C1 genome had no "die of old age" receptor, so norns (and grendels) would age to the Ancient life stage but not die unless they got sick. The amended C1 genomes I've seen tend to set the low threshhold of life chemical at between 5 and 8, which gives an average lifespan of about 10 hours if you can keep them happy and unstressed. If they have genes where stress affects the amount of life chemical, they can die as young as 6 or 7 hours.

I've had very long-lived C1 norns (30 hours in one case) though I don't know if that was a mutation or if there was some cob in the world injecting life chemical directly (Jan Martin's apple tree did, I believe, and I have used it in the past.) The Heal All agent does something similar, and the longest-lived norns I've had in C3 (over 15 hours) were from a world where I was using it.
