It's a weird question perhaps, but I have a couple of shee fan characters, and so does my friend CS/chameleonsushi- But! I don't think I've ever really seen others? Stuff like this! Literally, Shee characters. 'fan character' in the sense that they're part of an existing franchise and not totally original. Like having a norn/grendel/ect that you treat as a character and draw and rp and all that good stuff. c: I have a Shee and a Banshee character with designs and stories behind them, and i draw and plot things with a friend, but yeah I was curious about whether others in the creatures community do the same is all! I had a couple involved in the back story for Bai-Loki. I also had more than a few Banshee fancharacters... beyond just the ones I killed off in the Alternate Yautja Norn Story. <.< I haven't used them for anything, though.  |

I sort of have my own version of the Lone Shee. He has this pet norn who's always up to mischief, he is rather peaceful and friendly but somehow always manages to get into trouble. He's the only one though. What is the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything? 42! |

hehe well if people want to, I'd be happy to have little write-ups on here or something from everyone! so we could get the gist of all our characters<3 In my case, I have the Mossy Shee, and the Worst Banshee! The mossy shee is a shee who loves plant life over all else (with a secondary interest in aquatic life), she spends most of her time building terrariums and metarooms, and her specialty is caos coding instead of genetics. She has some heavy splicing with sea life and plant life so that she has greenish patches on regular tan-brown skin from photosynthetic areas, and a pair of extra arms from jellyfish dna! Her ship resembles a big portugese-man-o-war mixed with a lantern-fruit plant and she's meant to be slowly drifting towards Sphericus. The Worst Banshee is a shee who once idolised the banshee and their interest in mechanical technology. She spliced herself with tiger grendel genetics and left her kin to join the Banshee... But later on she regretted this decision. Unable to return to the people she abandoned, she lives alone in a technological spacecraft and wanders space, occasionally pirating from shee ships and stealing their cargo. I'm working on bio-style art right now actually so I can always post it up when they're done! The Mossy Shee & Co |

oh man I remember that picture! Geez that was so long ago but it's still extremely cute<3 And yes! That's me! it's alright, usually I try to have the same username on everything, but it just so happened that a few variations of 'jesseth' were already taken when I got to tumblr, so I just had to go with something else! c': I don't know why but I've always had a real fondness for shee characters, maybe because there's a lot of room for interpretation, and also they give a face to all of our fun messing around with norns and agents in the creatures games. The mossy shee is not me, but she certainly represents my love for gardening in-game for instance. c: The Mossy Shee & Co |

There's this one picture I use for my lock screen which was two blue skin white hair shee, one messing with a screen, one messing with eggs, a norn, and a tablet, but I can't find that pic online I love how shee are really open to interpretation. I usually use the blue skin white hair look in my headcanons, but I love all the interpretations people have. A truly alien feeling race of genetic engineers beep |

I'm just giggling because you mean this right? If so, that's me again cx Incidentally, the taller shee on the left is the original, embryonic design for what ended up being the mossy shee! It's basically impossible to see how that happened if you compare the two pictures nowadays, but if you hold up this old-ish revamp concept between the two versions it might help!  she owes a lot of how she looks now to when I was working on the statue in the bug's temple revamp! Haha, it seems you've done a large chunk of Shee based fanart XD To boost your ego, I actually use that one for my lock screen on my laptop, it's just such an adorable scene Anyhow, I think I've thought of making fan characters, and Shee are the type that make me giggle. I mean, I'm trying to imagine making a fan character of a race that seems designed as couch potatoe genetic engineers, and it feels hard to do, but so fun in concept beep |

Oh man, it would be really fun to have some more shee characters in the community! There's definitely some unique challenge to how they work and think too- I actually ended up making mossy based on looking at what I tend to focus on in-game (plants and biomes) and exaggerating them a bit! Also being able to throw around creatures game knowledge in world-building is so fun, like things like talking about caos coding~ The Mossy Shee & Co |

Well, in my mind I've given the Lone Shee an old, tiny blind mom, and a "gay" best friend. And twin younger siblings. But I mostly play with him as a character. In my head, Shee have such a small population, long life, and therefore slow reproduction rate, that children only get to play with the child born just before and just after them. They're also expected to keep an eye on the younger ones, so they typically are as close as as siblings. This was an exception, as a double birth was allowed and the two twins tended to be closer to each other than to TLS. So that helped his tendency to both be irresponsible and spend a lot of time by himself. |

I don't have my own Shee fan character, but can I adopt somebody else's, just for this topic?  I've always had a soft spot for Master Ish from Prelude: The Parting and The Reunion by Donell Meadows. I love those stories so much, and Master Ish will always be my favourite Shee. A while back I had a character named the Lone Banshee to give my genetic breeds some kind of interconnected backstory like the official breeds. However, I only wrote one story involving him, for the Ancient Fish Grendels, and then never bothered with him again. Nowadays I don't have any fan characters, shee or otherwise, though I have considered writing Creatures fanfiction (though it'd star norns, grendels, and/or ettins rather than shee). The only real Shee character I've ever had was one back in 2011 when I was doing NaNoWriMo and thought it would be a good idea to write a Shee fan fic. I didn't get very far though, and the fan fic, as well has most of my old stories, has been lost over time. I honestly can't remember much of it. I also had a few Shee's involved in my Stinger Norn's backstory. They created the Stinger Norns to keep the Stingers in check and eventually left the Norns alone. Then there is Balmora's story where the Shee she was serving either died or disappeared. So Balmora was left in command of the Mobula Ray. Balmora is based on an immortal Grendel that's been around since 2011 but I haven't written her story. The Mobula Ray - My Creatures blog |
