Just wondering, is it possible to change the number of ticks in Creatures 3 to a custom value rather than the usual 500 frame rate ( used in Wolfling Run control )? I can't help but wonder about whether there is a CAOS command that can alter this.
It's not like I need it urgently, but I want to know if it's possible. If it isn't, then it doesn't matter too much. I am merely curious.

What do you mean? The fast forward speed? Nah, that can't be directly controlled AFAIK. C3/DS simply takes all it can get (well, at least from a single CPU, it is too old to know about multicore chips).
So going faster is only possible by closing other applications and programs, (at least on linux) giving the game's process a higher priority value or getting rid of unimportant agents, e.g. that huge C3 lung thingy.
To reduce the speed, you can lower the priority, open a bunch of other programs or just spam a ton of useless agents.
Nothing of this is a very reliable way of controlling the speed, but it is better than nothing.
Though, I think you could somehow influence the game's ideal normal speed with commands such as RACE and PACE. Not sure if that helps, though...

I'll do some research on CAOS commands and see what comes up.
