If you frequent the image galleries you may notice that I removed all of the posts that had broken images for their thumbnails. All of the corresponding comments were also removed.
Please make sure that you save your image as a .jpg, .gif, or .png file through the program that you used to create it.
If you have the uploading script rename your file it will not work as a thumbnail. BMP files may not be uploaded to the server.
Thank you! And I apologize to all of the users whose comments were deleted. If you are artist whose image was deleted, please feel free to repost it in the correct form.

Hey I know this topic is old, but please can it be stickied? Given the amount of broken thumbnails still being uploaded to the galleries this info would be helpful. |

I agree, it seems like this has been forgotten. Paint, the tool of choice for many aspiring artists, automatically saves in BMP, so it might be worth stickying this to help out.

Just a friendly reminder, as I've noticed images getting a bit mixed up because they've been posted to the wrong galleries:
Artwork (i.e. Sketches, shading, line drawings, manips, doodlings) goes into the Fan Art Gallery
Screenshots (This is self-explanatory - any image that's been captured from within your game) go into the Screenshots Gallery
Graphics (i.e. Any images created or manipulated with the aid of a computer) go into the Graphics Gallery
Sometimes screenshots and graphics are mistakingly posted to the Fan Art gallery. Hopefully this post will help clear any confusion up. |

Maybe that with Fan Art happens accidentally, because when you enter the Post An Image site is Fan Art the standard value and the people just forget that line.
At least was that the reason why I PM'd you when I posted something in Fan Art what shouldn't go there.

This is very true! Maybe after reading this it'll be easier for people to remember there's a gallery drop-down menu on that page. Thanks for pointing that out, Papriko. |
