| Batch Processing Options for GIMP? | |

I'd like to be able to selectively recolour some sprites using an overlying layer with a colour in it, and let the colour mix with the underlying colour of the sprite, as I did here. However, I can't find a batch processing option for GIMP that lets me recolour with layers in this way, only BIMP, which lets me twiddle around with hue, saturation and so forth, which doesn't get me quite the result I'm looking for.
Does anyone know of any batch processing options I'm missing?

I don't know of any, sorry.
But as far as I know, plugins for GIMP can be written yourself, so maybe you could look into the filter you need and in BIMP and kinda try to copy-paste them together.

According to Wikipedia, it's called a Blend Mode.

hey! Hope I'm not bumping too dead of a thread, but I'd be interested in what batch processes people are using for sprite/modding c:
I have a distinct feeling that, say, making thousands of sprites for breeds would be a lot easier (albeit probably messier because let's face it you have to hand fix a lot) if there were a write-up on how to make a art program or two do things like:
- open a file, flip it, save it out with the right file extension, rotate it a certain amount, save out, rotate again, save, ect ect
that way all those sprites that are just say, faces or body parts flipped and rotated at certain angles could be done a lot faster! And you could get something functioning in game faster too, even if it means that you WOULD have to mess around neatening pixels up afterwards, it might be worth it for the proof of concept? c:

No, this is still relevant to my interests, and hopefully other people's as well! ![[ngrin] [ngrin]](/images/smilies/emot_grin.gif)
I'm more interested in getting some pretty recolours happening, but I'm sure that batch editing sprites in general is something that would be interesting to a lot of people in the CC.

It's not Gimp but this may be of use? I know that you can set up and record actions in photoshop and this seems to be a run-down of how to apply that to file batches. I've only ever used something like this to save out layers of a psd as separate files but nothing complex...
