I'll apologize in advance for sounding so short, it's just that I've been trying to figure this out for a while now, to no avail.  To put it simply, male Siamese norns are throwing errors. To be more specific, this error asks me to "make sure the following file exists: a00l.c16" in the Documents/Creatures/Docking Station/Images folder. If I click "continue," the egg simply disappears. I've tried to splice and even import male Siamese norns, but the error is always the same. The kicker? The .c16 file does exist in that folder. The other kicker? It's only male Siamese norns. No other sex or breed gives me this error. I've done a clean reinstall, with no other agents (save for the login disabler) or breeds. It still throws the same error, and it's still just male Siamese norns. For the record, this is a GOG game and I downloaded the Creatures Remastered Patch. Any suggestions, fellow Norn breeders? I have not. I feel kind of dumb saying it, but I'm not sure how I would go about that.  It's just the SiameseNornEggs.agents file from here on Creatures Caves (I think it was actually from Gameware, but the download link's on here). And I think the particular .c16 file in question existed in the folder prior to me downloading the Siamese Norns (sorry if I worded that weird).Thank you so much, though. Can you grab spritebuilder or Edos and use that to open the a00l.c16 file? It might be worth moving the a00l.c16 file to another place, like your desktop or downloads folder, and then trying to hatch another male siamese norn. My TCR Norns |

Hmm, so. I tried moving the file to my desktop, and amazingly, that seemed to work! O.o The "test subject" hatched just fine, looks right, and imported male Siamese norns work, too One thing of interest, though: I grabbed SpriteBuilder and opened the file in question. No text or anything appeared. I've never used SpriteBuilder before (like, ever) but I don't think that's supposed to happen? Although, since I've never been good with sprites and stuff, it's all practically esoteric magic-ish bits to me, lol. Thanks again for your help. What it means is that the c16 file was a junk file, it mustn't have installed itself correctly in the first place. Moving it to the desktop forces the agent to reinstall the sprite file from the agent. You can delete the blank a00l.c16 file now. My TCR Norns |
