I'm trying to teach my norns words without using a magic all-learning device, but the only word that they're not learning is "self" When a norn says their tired or something they all say "maybe rest da" So how the heck am I supposed to teach the word "self"? |

There are ways to do it using third party agents but besides the magic rocks, learning computer, or the Holistic Learning machines, there's no way to teach them how to say "self" in the basic game. At least not that I know of. You can use CAOS to teach them their entire vocabulary but I don't think that's what you're looking for. Updated Rehosting Policy[/title] |

Yes, actually. I think it was Amaikokonut who made hand teaching possible. Basically, you need Magic Words Core and Magic Words Hand Teaching from her blog Naturing Nurturing. Her site includes installation instructions. Keep in mind that the agent might only work if you have Docking Station installed as well. Updated Rehosting Policy[/title] |

It's also possible to teach just single words via CAOS. It is slightly more difficult than holistic learning, but still is a one-liner. Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... |
