Help Forum Docking Station: Update Pop-up?    Congested      7/2/2014 Okay, so whenever I start DS, there's always a pop-up window that tells me that there's a new version available, but when I try to install it, it gives me an error, and never actually finishes installing it, it's always at 0%... LOL. I thought it was probably because the DS servers haven't been up, so I re-installed DS and it works fine now, but the pop-up window telling me that a new version available still pops up when I click the icon to start DS. I was wondering if there's an actual update that will work, and that will actually finish? Or if I can get rid of that pop-up somehow? Cause it's kind of annoying to me to have to press 'no' everytime I want to play it. (And I'm also afraid that one day I'll accidentally press yes, and it will give me that nasty-faulty update thing that never finishes, and I'll have to re-install it all over again QnQ.) It's not really that much of a problem if It can't be helped, but I would still like to know if there is an actual update that I can download, so I don't get the pop-up window every time. The work around I've found is to run engine.exe directly. you can find it in you Creatures Exodus / Docking Station folder. Updated Rehosting Policy[/title]   LoverIan   7/2/2014 Ouch, when I was new that killed my game. Try Ambercreatures, use the install, don't update, then run from engine each time. The popup is to be ignored, it should be at 195 version to start, the most updated version. beep   Riakodoadm   7/2/2014 Try setting your shortcuts to "engine.exe" instead of "InstallBlast.exe". That should bypass the update box.   LoverIan   7/2/2014 Oh and by the way, when you play the game, you'll need the Offline fix thing.
