Hi, When I try to load a genome into the genetics kit it tells me "Error reading registry key -- defaulting to current directory". After this I am able to load and tweak genomes to my hearts content, but once I try to Export the egg into my game it says "Error reading registry key -- ensure Creatures is installed on system". I have C3/DS running while I am trying to export, just like the gen kit tutorial says. Would this problem be caused because I downloaded the game from GOG? And if so is there a way around it? I am running windows 7 and GOG is the only place I have found to download the game and actually have it work. Thanks for the help guys! I really really really want to play with the genetics kit!  |

Have you tried installing the Remastered Patch yet? If you have tried that and it still doesn't work, your next best option is to simply save the genome and then use an agent like the Egg Maker to get the genome into the game. Thanks a lot! The patch worked awesome, though it still tells me it has a problem getting the egg in the game, but then it puts the egg in the game anyway... And out popped my Grorn! It works and that's all that matters. Thanks again! |
