Hi.
So I installed the Desert norns and found mine got a problem. The body parts are not attached. Here is what I have done and know so far.
- All files have been put in, even replaced them.
- No other breed I got has the Ettin M slot.
- The female baby/child is fine, but the male's body is not attached.
- At teen/youth to adult. Both female and male's body is not attached.
- Body Att has been put in the right folder.
- Started a new world, still same problem.
- Hatched 5. 2 male, 3 female to see if the problem was just a first timer. It was not.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I am not much of an expert so I have no clue what to do.
Thanks for your time. |

Is this C2 or C3/DS? |

Don't worry, this is a very common problem. e.g..
If the female babies look perfect, then look in the ATT files folder and find all of the files named something like x60x.att. (where x is a wildcard.) Those are for the female babies. Take those files, copy them to a new folder, and rename them in the style of x20x.att. That will make those files instead apply to the male of the species, and then put them into your body data folder (when Creatures is not open, of course.) You can read the rationale for these numbers at Sprite on the Creatures Wiki.
I'm not sure how to go from there for the adult body data, but at least that should improve their childhoods.

Thanks Malkin!
But its not much worth using them if only their childhood looks good. I'll fix the child att but until I can fix the rest not much point is using them
How come mine went wrong with no one else seemed to have the problem? The Desert norn are my first C2 that I use, I don't know if that makes a difference.
Anyways thanks for the help so far |

Ah, body data issues. It's actually a pretty easy thing to fix .att files, since they're set up with a bunch of x.y coordinates. Only reason I haven't jumped on C3/DS issues is because I'm not sure of a good program that works like NornPose for C1 and C2. Then again, it might be a simple matter of just copying over a lot of the C2 .att data.
Was anyone working on fixing this? If I can be pointed to a program for C3/DS that works like NornPose, I'm sure I can add it to my project list of things to work on! Or, I'd be willing to offer up some help if anyone wants to take it on. Barring anything really strange, it's likely a matter of just changing a few x,y coordinates by a small number of pixels.

There was such a program in development for C3/DS by our own Don but as to the current status of the project, I've not much clue. I believe it was called Norn Builder? Also I recall it was even meant to work C1 and C2 .att files besides C3/DS.
As for copying over C2 .att data, I'm afraid it doesn't quite work. Some minor parts of the creature's body will be fine but for the most part, it will come out quite wonky and thus needs manual editing either way. |

I only know Sprite Builder, so I am afraid I can't be much of a help there |
