Hi folks,
Does anyone know of a critter which eats food (i.e. competes with norns) but is itself edible? I'm setting up the next round of the wolfling run (random event) and it'd be interesting to see if norns will choose to eat bugs or go hungry!
(Yes, I know I'm a Bad Mother - but at least I'm not using the Demon Die!) |

There are a lot of animals that do that. The Tribbles leap to mind.

Ah, I didn't realise - I knew there were edible critters, but I didn't think many of them actually ate norn food, as it were.
I really want to create a locust cob that feeds on honey now, though. |

Ghosthande's Crunchy Beetles (from the Yautja Norn Pack) eat fruit, and are edible in themselves.
The Prate from the TP2DS pack also eat fruit and are edible - though they tend to have population explosions and then die.
If you don't mind increasing your creature's dose of Heavy Metal Cure, there are the Medicinal Snotrocks, which are edible, interactive, and eat tubas.
Chester the Rabbit is edible and eats food.

Thank you for those - the plan is to have a random event which strips a metaroom of food sources (while providing a new one, assuming the norns will take advantage of it), so having 3 critters that each go for a food source is really good.
(Thinking about it, I'm reminded of the C1 Albian carrot/cheese/lemon beetles. If there's already a sprite file, maybe I could code an agent for C3DS that eats any kind of food... hmm....) |

We should compile a list for future reference! |

That's a good idea! I didn't realize there were so many food-eating critters out there. I wouldn't mind making one of my own... |
