Hi folks, got a problem with DS. I've got a world, called "Round 2", which I've been using as the main one for the wolfling run. I got to a point where there were just five 7th gen males left, and exported them.
I then imported a bunch of baby 7th gens - the last ones - and brought them up to adulthood, no problems. But now, when I go to re-import the first batch, DS tells me they need to be cloned to "preserve the history"!?
The first batch (all males) aren't parents of the second batch, and none of the second batch are clones or duplicates of the first. The first batch were exported from Round 2 and re-imported without going into another world in the meantime. Nothing about those creature files has changed, so I'm at a loss to work out why the game is suddenly saying I need to clone them. (The second batch were exported, imported into a different world on the same computer for IQ testing, then imported back into Round 2. The game didn't throw an error then.)
Any ideas?
ETA: Looking up on Amai's site (for the Bypass Import Cloning fix), she says the norn will still clone if another copy exists in the world, or did exist and died. I used clohse's species mass exporter agent to export them - could that be relevant?
ETA2: Ignore my babbling! Despite the Bypass Import Cloning fix already being in the bootstrap folder, I've just ject 7'd it again, and norns are importing no problem. Bizarre. So, fixed for now, but if anyone has any theories on why DS blipped, I'd be interested to hear them. |

This does sound like one really confusing problem. Maybe you should make copies of your creature's files and delete the originals. (It usually helps me but I don't know if it would work for you.)
Apart from that I don't know what else to suggest.
