I can't seem to figure out how to make Elevines unmovable by the hand. I'm trying to set up a world and I keep accidentally moving them! How can I make them unmovable?

The best way I can think of involves use of the CAOs Command Line....
Move the hand over an elevine, open up the CAOs Command Line (Shift + Ctrl + C) and type:
This should make the elevine immovable while still allowing you to make more or delete the elevine. It's fairly easy to reverse, as well - the same command with "196" replaced with "198" will make an immovable elevine movable again.

I tried it, but the elevine still remains movable for the hand.

The reason for that being that the elevine's timer script resets the attr if it ever gets changed. It's still possible to render the elevine completely immovable despite this, but it's a little more complicated; namely, in that you'll need the CAOs Tool.
With the game running and the elevines injected, open up the CAOs Tool. Open up the View menu and click on "Scriptorium Viewer Window."
In that window, expand the menu, then expand the menu listed under "3." In that menu, click on "1." In that menu, click on "21051." Finally, click "9 (Timer)."
You should get a window with the elevine's timer script. In front of the line that reads "attr 198," put an asterisk in front of it (or just delete it entirely). Reinject the event script (paper icon with two lines on it), then close out.
Repeat the steps mentioned in my previous post and you should have elevines that are permanently immovable (until you undo it, anyway).
