I was playing C2 again, (I have the GOG version) but for some reason
two of my norns, (the first one died) have, after hatching, lost consciousness
and then started to die. I looked at the science kit to see what the problem was, and found all the organs where shutting down. The "body" meter was at 0%, and soon after the first norn died. The same happened to my second norn but I exported her before she died. I know neither norn was starving because I had given them food injections and it didn't help.
Does anybody know why this is happening? |

Do you have their genetic files? You should be able to open these up in the D-DNA Analyzer to see what's going wrong. Alternatively, I would be happy to take a look to see if I can figure it out! Feel free to PM me if you have the genetic files, and I'll let you know how to send them over. Definitely sounds like a couple of unlucky mutations. If it happens again, though, it might be something other than genetics.

I'm not sure which file it is because it has happened to two norns who have both been female and are the original C2 breeds. One was a Pixie norn and the other one was a forest? norn. And I hatched another two of the same breeds from the hatchery and both lived. So i'm not sure if it's the genetics.
I still have the green female norn but I exported her. |

If you'd like, I can try to import the green female to see if I can get her genetic file. I know in Creatures 1 the hatchery eggs end up mixing two "parent" gene files, so you can get mutations and even stillborns in the game. I can't remember if this is true in Creatures 2, but if it is, that's likely the explanation.
One tip to get mutation-free Norns to start with is to create eggs with the Genetics Kit. I do this just to ensure that my starting population doesn't carry undesirable mutations or, even worse, the chance of dying immediately. Hope I can help!
