I have my first egg in C1! A couple of peculiar things though.
Only one M and one F in the world so far, so no question who laid the egg. They were both just barely old enough to breed, I was watching them carefully. Lots of kiss-pop but I kept checking and no pregnancy. Suddenly "EGG" appeared at the bottom of the screen and there it was. Contrary to all I have read, the F was never listed as pregnant, did not and does not have a tummy number. Do I have a glitch? or an unusual Norn? She was hatched from one of the starter eggs.
Other problem is the egg was laid in an add-on passageway, it is behind a tree root and I cannot seem to get a grip on it to move it. |

1. the game probably glitched a bit. i don't have c1, so i'm not sure.
2. i believe there is a cob of some sort that hatches eggs without the incubator? |

The Norn hatched on her own, and I got her home without much trouble. She followed to the garden, then took the transporter herself right to the computer.
Her momma has laid another egg, right out in plain sight this time but I cannot pick up this one either. I have closed and reopened the game several times. No problem picking up anything else. |

In Creatures 1, you can't pick up eggs when they're small. You have to wait until they grow to be able to pick them up. Once picked up, they won't hatch unless placed in the incubator. Hope this helps.

Ohhhh, that's what it is. I didn't come across that in any of my reading. Thanks, Darby!
Has anyone ever written Norns for Dummies, because I sure need it. |

I was so proud getting my pair of c1 norns to make their first egg... I just got albian years, only played c3/ds before it, and these c1 norns really seem to need nurturing compared to the c3/ds ones... getting them to eat was a chore, getting them to sleep when tired, etc... But for some reason it's making me feel more attached to them than any other norns I've had before... In some ways they seem more interesting in their behavior too... Plus, I am really liking the art style and world in c1 a lot. Even the grendels are cute, and much nicer than the c3 ones.
