| Fonts in the Creatures Games? | |

I haven't found any documentation on this, so please forgive me if I'm missing the obvious! Does anyone know if there are downloadable fonts that match those used in the Creatures games? I'm mostly interested in the Creatures 1 font.
On a semi-related note, is there any way to change the font used in the games? Only reason I ask is because I would love to use the C1 font in C3/DS, though I'm guessing it's not possible. Never hurts to ask, though!
Thanks for any help with this rather unusual string of questions!

The only one I know is World of Water. |

Which game is that font in? It doesn't look familiar to me.

Isn't it from the text we see in the speech bubbles? |

But for which game? C3/DS looks like a standard system font to me, and World of Water doesn't resemble what I see in C1 and C2. Could just be me being blind, though...

I immediately thought of the C1/C2 speech bubbles when I saw the font, but that could just be me too. |

But the capital 'A' is a triangle, and there is a line underneath the uppercase 'O' that I don't remember. The images I use on my blog for leaving a comment or continuing to read the post are taken directly from within Creatures 1. I'm not seeing a resemblance... But I also realize this is a silly discussion. Ha!

Word of Water is used in the Docking Station title. I realize now you're looking for fonts internal to the game rather than title fonts. I'm not exactly sure how the speech bubbles in C1 and C2 work, or if they use a "real" font (rather than something created for the game.) However I do know that C3 and DS hold their fonts in sprite files. If you do find the C1 font, you may be able to modify the C3 and DS sprites to use it. |

Ah-ha! I might have to attempt that, Ylukyun... It might seem really odd, but I feel like I would enjoy C3/DS more if it didn't have that highly industrial-type font. Might be a fun project for me to attempt!
I also realize I was extremely vague. Now I do recognize World of Water! Leave it to me to have myself a brainless moment. Ha ha! Good to know what that one is, too! Thanks!

OCR Extended is the closest I've found over the years.

FYI, I think the fonts used in speech bubbles and in various interface windows in C3/DS are in fact .s16 sprites, not a real font.
Not sure if it's the same for C1/C2, but I think it's more likely that it's hardcoded to something (probably internal) in those engines.

You're right: The font in C1/C2 is in a file format that seems to only be readable by the program. It's a pity that you can't just load a new font into C3/DS with just a push of a button! That's a lot of bitmaps that would need to be updated, and who has time for that?
Oh wait. That would be me!
