a friend on the chat helped me get a newer version of the injector because mine was crashing. well now it doesnt crash but it wont "see" any cobs. it sees file folders but if its a cob folder and I click/open it it shows nothing. not in any folder in any area of my C1. I closed everything down and will try again tomorrow to see if that helps. Thanks for any help. |

Where did you get the newer version from? When you open it in Creatures, does it have a jigsaw puzzle of the world on the first page? |

A lot of the older versions of Creatures 1 can have issues on newer systems. I recommend picking up Creatures: The Albian Years from GOG.com if you can't solve the issue. This version works on a lot of newer systems. Another thing you could try is manually typing in the name of the COB file when you've navigated to the directory. Just speculating here, but maybe it's just not showing you the .cob files? |

I do have the gog version. I see the cob files in my directory, its just that they are not showing up in the injector. |

I am having the exact same problem. I'm running the (patched) gog version on windows 7. The injector only sees about half the cobs I have in the directory. Most of those cause the game to crash, leaving the injector still running. I have to use the task manager to close the injector. CLohse's Norns at the Creatures Repository |

This was something I was planning to post a topic on! I've the GOG version of Albian Years, but couldn't figure out how the injector s'posed to work. I don't see any files and pressing SELECT crashes the whole world. Anybody have an answer? |

A couple of questions, which I hope will help get this thing resolved! Where are you installing the C1 COBs? For them to work in my game, they need to be in the main Creatures 1 directory under Program Files. I don't see why it wouldn't be able to recognize COBs in other folders, though. I also noticed that people are mentioning the patched GOG.com version or a new version of the Injector Kit. I was pretty sure that you didn't need any additional updates for it, but I could just be forgetting! My only other wild guess is that the game might need to be run as an administrator? Wish I had something better to offer, but I'm just as stumped as those with this problem! |

Yeah, Jessica, GOG version definitely needs to be patched! I can't remember if it's 1.0.0 or 1.0.2 out of the installer, but it can be patched to 1.0.4 and the injector kit can be updated. |

Guess it was so long ago when I installed C1 that I forgot! My only other thought would be whether the Remastered Patch is installed. |
